Provides Innovative Communications Continuity for Louisiana Governor’s
Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness
Dallas, TX – August 6, 2008 —Squire Tech Solutions, LLC, a satellite-based

today announced the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland
Security (GOHSEP) has added their Mobile Command Center to the
Squire Tech satellite network. The GOHSEP Mobile Command Center
is utilized throughout the state of Louisiana for various emergency
and training functions. “Fully equipped with 8 phone lines, fax
line, satellite TV, a wireless network, scene monitoring camera,
video conferencing, radio interoperability and more, the Mobile
Command Center requires a significant amount of bandwidth to operate
the many applications onboard,” said Jay Lockwood, Communications
Branch Manager for GOHSEP. “The Squire Tech satellite network gives
us the required bandwidth we need at a competitive price. We have
been pleased with the testing of our applications over their satellite
network.”
GOHSEP utilizes their Mobile Command Center for various planned
exercises, as well as, unplanned emergencies. The robust suite
of onboard products and applications require secure satellite links
and the appropriate amount of bandwidth for all of the different
applications to operate. It is important to the citizens of Louisiana
that Mobile Command Vehicles of this nature are fully operational
without dependence on traditional communication sources.
